Hailing from the most southern point of Canada, we are a hard rocking band with a melodic sound that will resonate with all generations. We keep it simple, we are a group of four guys having fun and playing music - that's it!. Growing up listening to heavy metal, hard rock and just plain rock`n`roll music, we've  tried to incorporate it all in our various songs.

It`s definitely not quiet when our band gets together, but it`s a good kind of loud that gets your body moving - Rise UP!

ABOUT THE MUSIC

"Beautiful Day" is the first song on the EP and was the second song we wrote after forming in 2016 and has the most punk feel of all the songs in our line up. While on the road out west, Jeff wrote the main riff on an old acoustic guitar he bought for $20. The riff was one of the first from his riff bank to be used. Mike fleshed out the light acoustic sound into a heavy driving punk attack that became one of the most fun songs we have to play. Lyrically it is a sarcastic and perhaps even cynical "Fuck Off and Have a Beautiful Day" kinda song. The song actually became the motivation behind Kenny's Beautiful Day emoji that decorates our album cover that wishes everyone a Beautiful Day! Is it written for anyone in particular? Well if you think it’s about you then it probably is.

The second song on the album is "D'Spayre"! In writing, the song had the working title "Same as I do" but once we wrote the line "If you feel like I do, if you are feeling my despair" we realized the opportunity for the play on words using our name to replace despair with D'Spayre, ultimately leading to the name change. The song addresses the issues of the top 1%  who rule everything we do and keep. us under their thumbs. The song says the time has come for change! This is a song that drives you both with tempo as well as attitude!

"Imaginary Lines" is the third song on the EP and it features Julian singing the verse and Jeff singing the chorus. The song really addresses the social fabric of the world we live in, the hate, the segregation, the racism and the divide that exists everywhere. Julian penned this song with emotion and you can hear it in his vocals. We can leave a better world for our sons and our daughters but we have to get over our differences. The song has a very "Rage against the Machine" feel to it.

The "Crimson King" is the final song on the EP and tells the epic tale of Stephen King's gunslinger Roland Deschain of Gilead. At practice one night we were all arguing over whose turn it was to throw out a riff to jam to. Out of annoyance, anger and a bit of frustration,  Mike just hit his open d tuning twice in a dramatic fashion as if to prove a point or something and Kenny and Jules just went with it and jammed it out. We had a great rhythm and Jeff's leads didn't sound too bad but we didn't know where to go with it. When Jeff asked what does the tune make you think of? Kenny immediately said it made him think of an old gunslinger just sitting drinking his whiskey and looking like he just wanted to shoot everyone. Jeff, an avid reader, knew the exact story to pay homage to- Stephen King's epic "The Dark Tower",

It's the story of a gunslinger on a quest to save the Dark Tower from the Crimson King.
